Featuring large dry insulated compartments for rods, seat, tackle and safety gear. Crafted using cutting-edge vacuum infusion technology, the Swamp Rat Skiff is not just a vessel – it’s a lightweight, one-of-a-kind personal fishing platform.

After 12 months of meticulous engineering, we are proud to offer two layup schedules. A hybrid of fiberglass/carbon laminate and a full carbon fibre laminate for the ultimate high tech fishing experience. Each hull has a core of specific density foam, creating an effective balance of strength and hull noise reduction. No wood is used in the construction of any Swamp Rat Skiff ensuring ultimate strength, light weight and longevity in the craft.

Glide effortlessly through shallow waters with a minimum draft of four inches accessing spots unreachable by most vessels.

The low-profile design and shallow draft reduces hull presence on the water, opening up new sight-casting abilities on the flats. Careful consideration with fitout is paramount if you are hunting skittish fish. The front storage area is foam-lined, with tie-down points to secure loose items. The main hatch has rubber latches instead of clunky stainless steel fittings.

No loud gas struts are used, as we have designed our very own invisible hatch supports. High quality PV/EVA foam decking, Sea Dek, has been carefully utilised around our carbon fibre rod holders and high traffic areas, to stop clunking sounds emitting through the hull.

Geared towards the keen solo fisherman, a Swamp Rat Skiff provides a low-maintenance, lightweight solution with a unique design for easy manoeuvrability and transport.

Its compact design with a hull length of 2.1 metre and light weight of 25kgs (depending on laminate) allows it to be easily placed in the tray of a dual cab utility or lifted onto the roof rack of a sedan/SUV.

This offers a solution for storage-poor owners/operators.

The built-in pneumatic wheels make it effortlessly manoeuvrable, whether moving from home to vehicle or launching into the water on those early morning missions.

Each hull comes standard with a black padded carry bag for transport to protect your investment for years to come.

Great consideration has gone into serving the storage poor fisherman, with it’s ability to be stored upright, tackling that age-old space saving dilemma.

Navigate Remote Shallow Waterways with Ease

Two years of intensive research and development has solved an issue with similar sized craft, that of stability.

Engineered with an overall length of 2.1 metre and supporting a 1.2 metre beam, the stability for such a compact craft is surprising and solid underfoot.

Designed for an 80kg operator with 20kgs of gear, you can effortlessly navigate through shallow waters with our skiff, which boasts a remarkable minimum draft of just four inches.

The unique transom design in conjunction with built-in trim tabs reduces the hole shot while maintaining a level hull attitude.

Each hull is fine-tuned to motor selection, whether petrol, or electic (up to 6hp) to achieve optimum performance and efficiency.

Utilising Transom Pocket technology, the engine can be raised higher while maintaining water pressure and achieve a four inch draft at planing speeds. This feature allows access to hidden and secluded spots typically off-limits to most vessels.

Tailored Comfort and Versatile Performance

Enjoy flexibility in your fishing style with the choice of seating options. A full carbon fibre insulated esky with padded seat or for the die-hard fisherman the uniquely designed carbon fibre removable seat can be selected.

The seat is ergonomically designed for the perfect height to sight cast or it can be stored in the dry storage compartment of the skiff to create an uncluttered deck. Whether you prefer a free-standing or seated fishing experience, we have seating options to cater for your comfort.

To get the best handling performance from a Swamp Rat Skiff, we have developed our very own carbon fibre tiller extension. Steering is smooth with the ergonomically designed carbon fibre tiller extension in a perfect blend of stiffness, strength and light weight, to suit standing or sitting operation of the outboard engine/motor.

This results in ITE low feedback to the operator while steering the vessel at speed.

Each boat is custom-designed to individual requirements. Hull colours, Sea Dek colour schemes, or for those who like to showcase, a polished carbon finish with ceramic coatings.
